Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, through a video link, addressed a conference titled “Pakistan-China At 70: A Unique Bilateral Partnership” arranged by the Pakistan-China Institute (PCI) in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Pakistan-China relations.
The conference brought together China and Pakistan’s main government officials, academicians, reporters, students, and civil society members under one roof.
Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor Wang Yi promised to stand firmly with Pakistan, despite differences in world politics, as per a report in The News.

The conference started with an exclusive 10-minute documentary presentation that was played for the audience, titled “Pakistan-China at 70: A Unique Bilateral Relationship.”
The documentary goes along with the national anthems of Pakistan and China.
Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor Wang Yi accentuated that China and Pakistan are all-weather friends, who believe in and honor each other despite social and cultural differences.
He also said moving forward, Pakistan and China should unite in protecting international peace and encourage other countries to join hands against regional defense threats.
He also thanked Senator Mushahid Hussain for promoting the Pakistan-China friendship.

SM Qureshi thanked China for its extraordinary teamwork during the coronavirus pandemic, saying it was remarkable.
He said China has so far donated 3.5 million doses of vaccine to Pakistan, adding that Islamabad has always promoted China’s core interests.
He also talked about the educational coalition between the two countries, which will also ensure cultural affiliation as well.
Qureshi highlighted several celebrations in memorial of 70 years of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China and particularly thanked the PCI for arranging the event with a dutiful panel of specialists.
The Foreign minister of Pakistan called also attention to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that has brought together 140 countries of different continents together through connectivity, docks, pipelines, economy, and energy.
He also said Pakistan is fortuitous that the pilot and flagship project of the BRI, CPEC, is at the centerpiece of this global initiative to promote Gateways, Culture, and Linkage.
