“Celestial Eye”: Hubble Telescope Spots A Galaxy With An Incredible Active Core

The Hubble telescope has spotted a new galaxy known to be a “Celestial Eye”. It has an incredible active core. 

The Galaxy is named Galaxy NGC 5728. The center of the galaxy has a strong powerhouse. It is a spiral galaxy and resembles a Celestial Eye. However, it is about 130 million light years from the Earth. 

Celestial Eye: Core Of The Galaxy 

The image from the Hubble Space Telescope shows the galaxy NGC 5728. It shows like a powerhouse at the center. There is the constellation Libra in a unique cosmic pattern around the active core. 

It is a Seyfert galaxy because it has a particular characteristic of having an active galactic nucleus. The mixture of gas and dust hurled around the center makes it shine bright. 

Furthermore, the galactic cores are highly luminous. Due to which, it outshines the rest of the galaxy in both visible and infrared light.

Celestial Eye: Image Analysis From ESA

The European Space Agency operated the Hubble Telescope with NASA. They published the image of the Celestial eye view of galaxy NGC 5728. 

However they used a Wide field Camera 3 (WFC3) for capturing the view. According to the ESA officials, there is a glorious scene besides the celestial eye view. 

According to the analysis, there is something more glorious happening near the galaxy NGC but the camera failed to capture that. 

They found a typical scene of active galactic nuclei. 

Thus ESA analysed that the image was more about deep space and the formation of a galaxy. This mainly pertains to the visions of infrared light with a series of constellations around the galaxy NGC.

Statement By ESA Officials 

The ESA officials stated in a report that the image shows a clear view of galaxy NGC. This is quite a normal view under optical and infrared wavelengths. 

They further said that galaxy NGC and its center is emitting vast amounts of light in parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. They Concluded the analysis by stating that the iris of NGC 5728 might emit visible or infrared light but dust surrounding the core didn’t make it visible.

The Hubble Telescope is one of the large telescopes in space. It is an orbiting telescope launched into orbit on April 24, 1990.

Hubble captures have an ability to collect 40,000 times more light than the human eye. However it has five scientific instruments including cameras and spectrographs. It splits light into individual wavelengths. 

Through the Hubble telescope, scientists have found out how planets and galaxies form. It has also detected black holes. Moreover, the Hubble telescope played a crucial role in the discovery of dark energy. 

Furthermore, it has found the mysterious force that causes the universe to expand rapidly as time goes on. Through this, the scientists also found details of gamma-ray bursts.
