An Indonesian patrol vessel confronted a Chinese coast guard vessel that spent about three days in waters where Indonesia claims financial rights and are close to the southernmost piece of China’s contested South China Sea claims. The Indonesian Maritime Security Office said that it identified Chinese boat 5204 entering Indonesia’s exclusive economic zone in what Indonesia calls the North Natuna waters.
