Footballer Benjamin Mendy alleged in the UK on rape charges. He has to face eight courts of rape. Including one of attempted rape and one of sexual assault. However, he has pleaded not Guilty.

Accordingly, French footballer Benjamin Mendy has gone on trial in the UK. That is on suspicion of ten charges of sexual violence. He will be facing eight counts of rape including rape and sexual assault.

Footballer Benjamin Mendy Goes On Trial In UK Court

Footballer Benjamin Mendy has gone on trial in the Court. He had eight allegations for rape and sexual assault. Accordingly, there are seven women who made the allegations over him.

These are all cases related to the events between October 2018 and August 2021. The women claimed that this all happened at Mendy’s home in northwest England. However, Mendy has denied all these charges.

Footballer Benjamin Mendy Suspended By His Club Manchester City

Footballer Benjamin Mendy, the former World Cup winner has been suspended by his club Manchester City. That is for one year after the first allegation.

However, Mendy has played 75 times for the English side since joining from AS Monaco in 2017. He also appeared 10 times for his country, including at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. 

On the other hand, another man, Louis Saha Matturie no link to the footballer is also on trial for eight rapes. Including four sexual assaults on eight women between July 2012 and August 2021. And, he has also pleaded not guilty.
