India vs New Zealand, WTC Final, Southampton Test, Day 1 got called off

India vs New Zealand WTC Final Day 1, the day we all were waiting by holding our heartbeats, was called off due to immense Rain at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Not a single wicket was taken away on the opening day of the WTC final due to terrible weather.
New Zealand was prepared toughed by winning 1-0 series against England completed on Sunday with a commanding eight-wicket win at Edgbaston after a draw at Lord’s.
New Zealand experienced batsman Ross Taylor also said that it was the ideal preparation, having two Test matches against England in these conditions. Ahead of the five-day game in Southampton, on England’s south coast. But all this didn’t get wasted at all. However, the toss was delayed on Friday due to the same bad weather condition. But the good news is The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to reveal that the play will start at the scheduled time on Saturday — 3 pm IST. The New Zealand board also tweeted that on Saturday, 98 overs will be bowled. Virat Kohli, the Indian Team Captain, is preparing himself to win his first ICC trophy as Team India captain. It already crowned the 2011 ODI World Cup under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. Whereas Kane Williamson, the New Zealand Team Captain, has not won any trophy but almost missed out on a whisker’s 2019 World Cup title. The ICC also has reserved a day for India vs New Zealand match for the loss of time that happened due to bad weather. In most parts of the inaugural title clash, Rain has been forecast in Southampton in the most extended format. India will start as favorites because of the more practical options at their disposal but will go in underprepared. New Zealand warmed up nicely in the two-Test series against England. It dominated both, winning the second match in four days.
