Iran To Host Drone Tournament With Belarus, Russia and Armenia

Iran to host drone tournament with Belarus, Russia and Armenia. There is a competition of military capabilities in Iran that will last for two weeks. It aimed at testing the drones’ reconnaissance and artillery-guiding abilities.

Accordingly, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manoeuvres come after months of claims by the US. That is about Russia, which is planning to purchase ‘hundreds’ of drones from Iran. And, they will use it in the war in Ukraine, that something Tehran has denied 

Iran To Host Drone Tournament 

There is a military drone tournament in central Iran with Russia, Belarus and Armenia in attendance. Accordingly, the 

Iranian state television showed footage from a ceremony on Monday in the city of Kashan.

There were dozens of representatives from the four countries. And, they gathered to inaugurate the tournament. The delegates from all the members will judge the tournament.

About Falcon Hunting 2022 UAV Competition 

This is the 2022 “Falcon Hunting” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) competition. Accordingly, it is the part of the seventh iteration of wider annual military games. 

Firstly, Russia launched it in 2015. And, Iran’s aerospace division Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) hosted it. Accordingly, they conducted many of the elite force’s drone tests.

Now, Ali Balali, is top adviser to IRGC aerospace chief Amir Ali Hajizadeh and the tournament’s spokesman. He said the competition would be judged based on performance and consistency. 

That is in aerial reconnaissance during both day and night. Additionally,  the UAVs could help guide precise artillery fire. 

However, more than 70 military personnel will participate. And, they will also undergo physical readiness and shooting tests during the competition. Thus, this will end on August 28, 2022.
