Pakistan seeks ulema’s help to get people vaccinated

“During Friday prayers sermons, Ulema should ask people to get themselves vaccinates” , President Alvi urges the ulema(religious cleric) during a conference held at Aiwan e Saddar, Islamabad

The conference was chaired by President Arif Alvi which was attended by governors and religious scholars for all four provinces, emphasis was given on Covid-19 vaccination drive

Alvi, urges religious scholars to spread the word and ask people to get the jab in order to control the pandemic as early as possible

Alvi said, “Health experts are continuously asking masses to get vaccinated as this is the only way out of this pandemic”

According to official data provided by the NCOC, about 47,183 tests were conducted during the past 24 hours out of which 1,843 returned positive

With 1843 cases being reported, Pakistan reported less than 2000 cases for the second consecutive day

As the country is paving the path of recovery, positivity ratio is recorded less than 5% for the ninth consecutive day

Few people are not getting vaccinated because of lack of awareness so religious scholars are contacted to send out the words during Friday prayers congregation as masses turn up for jummah prayers

All attendees assured their co-operation and said they are always standing beside the government just like in past, all madarsaas and mosques followed Covid guidelines, they will follow all precautionary measures this time as well and will make sure to convince people to get them vaccinated to completely eradicate this pandemic

President Alvi receives appreciation as he is constantly striving for unity to bridge the communication gap by gaining ulema’s trust

Mufti Kifayat Hussain Naqvi said, “He deserves our tributes and appreciation”.

According to NCOC , Pakistan has so far vaccinated nearly 80 million people and they are planning to take the drive further by opening up registration schedule for people aged 18 and above
