Pfizer and BioNTech are all set to introduce a new vaccine for the Delta variant. Both companies announced on Thursday. That they will start new vaccine’s clinical trials in August.

Companies are also stressing for a third booster shot. According to them, two shots have minimum efficiency to endure the Delta variant. Indian variant is 60% more contagious than the original one. And has rapidly reached 100 countries of the world.

Companies also promise that a third booster shot will surely produce antibodies. These antibodies of the third dose are very necessary against the Delta variant.

Pfizer and BioNTech Clarification About Vaccine Efficiency

Companies also clarified that the efficiency of two doses decreases after six months. And a third booster shot or new vaccine is inevitable to control deaths from the Delta variant.

Company officials are determined to submit their new findings to the FDA. And they are desired to get permission for booster shots in weeks.

Strikes Of Delta Variant

These days Delta variant is at its peak in Malaysia, Portugal, Indonesia, and Australia. Mostly it is hitting unvaccinated populations. C.D.C reports say a sudden surge of cases in the US is mostly of Delta variant.

Data From Israel

Companies have collected data from Israel. Reports from there reveal shocking results. That fully vaccinated people have declined their efficiency against symptoms and infections just within 6 months. This also shows the significance of the third dose after 6 to 12 months of vaccinations.

Pfizer’s vaccine is the first in the market to stop the covid-19 virus. And is probably the most expensive one. Its operative standards are of high class. It needs high-quality cooling facilities for storing purposes. A new mRNA technology was introduced in vaccine production history.
