Pfizer and BioNTech are all set to introduce a new vaccine for the Delta variant. Both companies announced on Thursday. That they will start new vaccine’s clinical trials in August.
Companies are also stressing for a third booster shot. According to them, two shots have minimum efficiency to endure the Delta variant. Indian variant is 60% more contagious than the original one. And has rapidly reached 100 countries of the world.
Companies also promise that a third booster shot will surely produce antibodies. These antibodies of the third dose are very necessary against the Delta variant.
Pfizer and BioNTech Clarification About Vaccine Efficiency
Companies also clarified that the efficiency of two doses decreases after six months. And a third booster shot or new vaccine is inevitable to control deaths from the Delta variant.
Company officials are determined to submit their new findings to the FDA. And they are desired to get permission for booster shots in weeks.
