Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plans to return to UK next year to celebrate Queen’s platinum jubilee.
Next June 2022, UK will mark the 70th anniversary of queen Elizabeth . Queen will become the longest serving monarch – the first time any British monarch has been on the throne for seven decades.
Queen broke the record of longest serving monarch in 2015, when her reign extended from her great-great- grandmother’s reign that was from 1837 to 1901.
Buckingham Palace has announced further details to mark the monarch’s milestone during a special four-day Bank Holiday weekend from Thursday June 2 to Sunday June 5 2022.
It has been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are keen to return to UK for the celebrations.
Meghan Markle has not set a foot in UK since she settled in USA in the early 2020 while Prince Harry has returned once only for his grand father, Prince Phillip’s, funeral.
The news was covered by “The Sun” and they were quoted saying, “It is already causing a headache and is going to be very awkward. What events can they attend?”.
Another source added, “Will we put them on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the fly-past?” After all, “This is a celebration for the Queen’s 70 years of service to the nation and should not be overshadowed.”
Relations between the Sussex and royal families are strained since their explosive and over the top interview with Oprah where they were seen putting allegations on the royal families for being very controlling and racist.
Meghan Markle also spoke about her mental health as how is was effected while living with her in laws.
