Spain will pay equal salaries to National footballers. The Spanish Football Federation has announced that players will receive the same reward for representing their country.

Accordingly, the agreement covers the next five seasons. And, will also bring Spanish national teams equal travel, food and accommodation.

Spain Will Pay Equal Salaries To Both Male And Female Footballers 

The Spanish Football Federation Federation announced the same salary packages to both male and female players. 

“The bonuses received as a percentage could be the same,” the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) said in a statement.

Thus, all players will also receive a percentage of sponsorship agreements. And  it’s hard to find such a complete offer elsewhere. 

President Amanda Gutierrez, who represents the players in the negotiations, described it as a “historic day”.

Other Countries To Have The Salary Agreement 

There are some other countries that have this kind of agreement. Those are

England, Ireland, Norway and the United States. Thus, these countries have already reached agreements on equal pay for men’s and women’s football teams.

Deal Of The Agreement Include:

The agreement will be for the next five years. And, the deal ensures male and female players enjoy the same terms regarding bonuses and image rights.

Moreover, working conditions will also be made equal, including provisions for travel, food and accommodation.

“From now on, women who play on the national team will receive promotion bonuses as well as a men’s team,” added Federation President Luis Rubiales.
